Skills Transfer/Mentoring
To counter the potential loss of project knowledge or specialist skills that can leave with external staff when a project is complete, Jumar can provide a carefully planned Mentoring or Skills Transfer programme. The programme will be planned from the outset of the project and re-visited both periodically, and as each new Jumar resource starts an assignment.
In order to help ensure its success, very specific skills transfer objectives will be defined, with nominated members of the Jumar team made responsible for imparting specific skills to named customer staff, to an agreed timetable.
The Service Delivery Manager will monitor the progress of the skills transfer objectives against each individual’s timetable and highlight any issues that may prevent their successful completion.
In addition, Jumar resources will always be tasked with ensuring that all the processes and procedures they have been responsible for are well documented and understood before they complete their assignment so that the internal team members responsible for ongoing support can be self sufficient.
