Financial Services Organisation
Services: Flexible Managed Service Teams, Fixed Price Packages
This client has saved both management time and project costs by using Jumar to manage all elements of their recruitment process for specific resource types. Jumar meets regularly with the client’s resource managers to understand their requirements for numbers and skills of different types at different points in their projects. We then source the most appropriate individuals, firstly from the experienced pool of people within our own organisation, to meet whatever shortfalls are identified. This client has flexed its resources to include up to forty people from Jumar working on the project at any one time. The customer does not see the CVs or conduct interviews, as they are confident that Jumar will always provide the most suitable resource for that particular project. At this client site we can be providing up to twenty people at any point in time in a wide variety of roles, including business analysts, developers and testers.
International Systems Integrator

This client has had an ongoing requirement for a large number of people with specialist CA Gen skills for a major Government programme of work for some time. We have worked with this client over several years to provide a team of CA Gen resources for short and long term assignments. Our Flexible Managed Service resources have supported a major CA Gen upgrade, UNIX to AIX migration, new development and the support of the live environment. The tight deadlines for many of these projects have been achieved by using a blend of Jumar’s highly experienced permanent pool of staff and our associate base of consultants, some of whom have worked with us for more than ten years on assignments worldwide.
Our client recognises that the level of expertise and commitment provided by the resources supplied by Jumar has far exceeded their expectations of external resource support. Our FMS model has proved to be a major differentiator from the more general option of taking individual contract resources from the marketplace. This, together with the significant savings in management time in recruiting and managing the team has resulted in a significant internal success story.
Utility Company
Services: Contract Recruitment, Skills Transfer, Mentoring
Jumar provides a range of contract resources to this large utilities customer including Business Analysts and Project Managers. The Flexible Managed Service option is used to address peak workloads which dodn’t require a full time resource. We are able to provide the appropriately skilled resources with the flexibility to accommodate the fluctuations within the project plan. Because we are able to provide the same people at different stages during the project, this enables a much smoother flow of work than would have been possible with different people joining the project at different times. We have subsequently provided the customer with some additional developer and testing skills to fill a shortfall in another of their other project streams.
Government Department
Services: Gen Managed Services Team
A large government organisation has successfully taken a number of managed teams from Jumar. They prefer to interview candidates directly but only one or two individuals are selected for their approval to keep their management time to a minimum. As these teams are often working on long term projects the client has asked Jumar to provide a Service Delivery Manager to provide management reporting on project progress as well as manage the day to day running of the Managed Service team. This client has chosen to negotiate fixed price packages for the work Jumar has done on site, enabling them to more accurately plan their budgets and control their costs.
